The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Coordinate the preparation and updating of project Gate 3 estimates and schedules, the clients Plan & Budget and the overall cost and progress control system.
• Coordinate preparation of the executive summary plan, integrated project schedules (IPS), the project monthly cost and progress report and weekly project progress status reports.
• Coordinate the collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and reporting of project cost and schedule control information to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas identified for corrective action.
• Prepares overall cost and schedule analyses and forecast projections.
• Administer the project Scope Tracking and Management of Change process including chairing the Change Control Board (CCB) and periodically publishing a change log.
• Ensure cost and progress control parameters are established and adhered through regular analysis of performance. Monitors project and contractor cost and schedule progress & performance (planned vs actual vs forecast), and is communicated to all project team members to accommodate effective control of costs and progress.
• Ensure all appropriate "best-practice" technology is available to the project by engaging Cost / Schedule personnel from the clients Production Projects and the clients Project Controls toolkit.
• Interacts with Project Management Team (PMT) members on execution /implementation strategies.
• Provides expertise to Contract formation and award processes; Value Improvement Processes; Best Practice application; and discipline specific project development

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Technical / business degree
• Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, coordination, planning, cost control and interface skills
• Strong knowledge of Project Control principles, 5-10 years experience in project controls
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
