Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.
Purchasing Programme Buyer - Programme lead the programmes Purchasing team is part of the Purchasing function.
Its role is to manage the interface between Purchasing and Programme Managements, cross functional team to ensure supplier sourcing, cost, quality and timing are all delivered against programme gateway requirements. Programmes Purchasing offers a unique and highly challenging experience with business-wide exposure and development, where the key to success is the ability to manage our internal customer's expectations, and deliver against their requirement using resources assigned against multiple and often conflicting priorities.
Key responsibilities include working closely with the wider Purchase department to ensure sourcing cost, quality and timing are all delivered against Programme Gateway deliverables and that all sourcing is aligned to the client Global Sourcing Process. From a Purchasing perspective this will also include capacity verification and supporting, production buyers in ensuring that appropriate order coverage is in place within the supply base to support early prototype builds and launch activities.

3)Experience in Purchasing, Automotive, Programme Management systems and processes
Ideally, you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), and/or have a professional qualification in Manufacturing / Production Engineering / Cost Engineering / Purchasing / IT. Consideration will be given to non degree qualified candidates with appropriate Purchasing, Automotive, Programme Management or IT data processing experience highly developed IT data processing skills in Microsoft Office, Excel / Access / SQL .
