The Role:
GENERAL MANAGER – MAJOR SHUTDOWN PROJECT - BRUNEI
OVERSEAS ACCOMMODATION ALLOWANCES / CAR / TAX FREE PACKAGE –

Our Client is a global leader with annual revenues of over £3 billion. They are a robust and focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services to the world’s Oil and Gas and Minerals and Metals markets. Their Australian arm is undergoing an exciting growth phase which will see the business grow organically by 50% over the next 5 years.
We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead an important Integrated Services Contract in Brunei managing the construction and maintenance of over 200 shallow water platforms with bridge links. The opportunity will allow the successful individual to manage close to 2500 people (expats, local staff and local contractors).

- Ideally you will have demonstrative major Brownfield / Integrated Services Contract experience with leading construction and maintenance contracts, maintaining asset integrity and the shutdown and maintenance services for Oil and Gas assets.
- Read, analyse and plan business strategies to move the company forward in becoming a recognised EPCM in Brunei
- Direct the local training and development for blue collar construction and maintenance of the offshore platforms.
- Manage the shutdown HSE component as well as all the maintenance, construction, project services and local development
- Perform complete profit / loss responsibility for the location
- Grow the business relationship with local authorities and the Client
- Manage and motivate teams of Contract Managers, Project Managers through to blue collar Engineering teams (circa 2500 people)
- Report directly to the COO of Oil & Gas SE Asia

Essential attributes for this role

- Ideally you should be a registered AIPM Project Manager / Director to level 5 or level 6
- You will understand the difference between Portfolio Project Management with Single Project Management
- You will have a demonstrable track record of being able to prioritise projects with either an Oil & Gas EPCM company or an Oil and Gas Operator
- Understand the concept of Net Present Value (NPV)
- Be fully versed with principles of Stakeholder Management
