The Company:
A National Waste Management Company based in Kazakhstan involved in a variety of commercial & industrial waste management processes.

The Role:
General Manager – Waste Management Business Unit

1. Position Summary:
As a key member of the business unit, the General Manager will work closely with the department managers and report directly into the Board of Directors. The company turns over in excess of USD$30m per year.

The general manager will coordinate & hold responsibility for day to day business operations including liaising with key clients & accounts and stake holders in the business.

2. High Level Responsibilities:
• Provide day to day leadership for the business.
• Manage Key Clients & Accounts
• Business Development
• Management of Operations Teams
• Reporting on budget & financials

3. Qualifications and Requirements:
• 10+ years’ experience in an operations management role
• Ideally a background in waste management
• Fluent in English.

4. Personal Attributes:
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate, co-ordinate and liaise well at all levels of the Project organization and with staff at site locations essential.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Highly motivated to succeed in all tasks.
• Confidential in the work environment.
• Presentable in manner and dress to position and in representing company.
• Able and willing to work in a team environment.
• Dedicated & professional in approach.

5. Other Skills & Abilities:
• PC proficiency in Windows environment and good working knowledge of computer based databases.
• Ability to present to key stake holders on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis.
