Our client is a Global Company operating across a diverse range of industry sectors including Automation, Building Technologies, Energy and Healthcare. At present thy have a number of immediate permanent opportunities based in Korea.

The Role:
Customer Management :
# Actively gathers information on the customer and the customer's requirements/targets
# Involves the customer in decision-making and provides regular information
# Manages customer expectations and concludes the project to the satisfaction of the customer
# Identifies cross-Division business opportunities
# Develops and negotiates minor and major change and variation orders
# Ensure that Customer specifications are fulfilled
# Creates additional business opportunities out of the ongoing project
# Devises and implements strategies for strengthening market and customer commitment

Bid, Contract Management :
# Is actively involved in the bid phase, analyzing customer requirements and examining their technical feasibility and transferability into a bid
# Ensures that the internal project process with all risk assessments (including compliance) is followed
# Examines the bid costing in terms of financial efficiency
# Ensures that incoming order costing is done and documented
# Involves the relevant partners in the bid phase
# Ensures that all planning elements (e.g. system structure, work breakdown structure, ... ) are included in the bid phase
# Influences formulation of the necessary contracts
# Ensures that the results of risk assessments and compliance risk assessments are appropriately addressed in contracts and in costing
# Negotiates with stakeholders on Change Requests and incorporates them into contracts
# For international projects (cross-border): synchronizes contract structure with tax concept and delegation concept
# Conducts order negotiations

Claim Management :
# Involves the project team in the identification of claims and ensures case, effects and evidence
# Assesses contracts in terms of claim-relevant significance, ensures examination by legal expert
# Puts the strategy for making/mitigating claims rigorously into practice
# At an early stage, informs customer, management and project team of scope deviations
# At an early stage, identifies and mitigates external claims
# Conducts (jointly with procurement and sales) negotiations on making/mitigating claims
# Devises (with business coordinators) the strategy for making/mitigating claims
# Enforces legitimate claims and fends off unjustified claims
# Draws up legally defensible claims
# Supported by Contract and legal services

Partner Management :
# Involves qualified subcontractors/partners in a timely manner
# Selects subcontractors/partners according to defined criteria
# Rigourously monitors the performance of the subcontractors/partners, conducts timely escalation (in the event of qualitative shortfalls and problems in cooperation) and, where there are any discrepancies, initiates timely suitable action
# Selects subcontractors/partners based on strategic viewpoints
# Identifies further opportunities for business with the partner(s)
# Responsible for Management and Coordination of Design and Engineering Groups (internal and external).

Procurement and Logistics :
# Involves procurement at an early stage according to valid Siemens procurement rules
# Ensures that all procurement activities comply with the valid processes and regulations
# Negotiates based on defined requirements with subcontractors/partners and enters into back-to-back agreements in alignment with the customer contract
# Plans (in local procurement) the procurement strategy with the business coordinator and Sector/Division or Cluster/Regional procurement

Financial Management:
# Manages the project within the defined financial targets (budget, cashflow, EVA, target costing, target profit)
# Ensures compliance with IFRS (International Finance and Reporting Standards)
# Ensure compliance with taxation guidelines with regard to NCM and PE (Permanent Establishment)
# Optimizes project profitability and ensures business success
# Has Profit & Loss responsibility for the project as defined in the Project Manager (Target) Agreement
# Performes regular cost controls
# Initiates invoicing according to project progress
# Develops and implements controlling measures
# Improvement and development if necessary project controls measures on a regular base
# Ensures regular financial controlling and reporting incl. cost for On- and Offshore contract scope to complete (concurrent costing / "MIKA")
# Optimizes the project cash flow and assets
# Accepts personal liabillity for correctness of project balancing sheets (by sign off)
# takes account of strategic viewpoints and target costing
# Takes strategic viewpoints into account when managing the finances of the project
# Develops targeted financing models in agreement with Corporate partners

Project Planning, Controlling and Closure :
# Manages the project within the defined time and quality framework
# Handles all Siemens internal PM guideline-relevant planning elements and milestone work results according to the project category
# Sets up and maintains the Siemens Project Management Plan
# Defines procedures and requirements concerning quality/EHS management (audits, test seals, acceptance checks) according to valid Quality/EHS Management regulations and standards
# Monitors continuously the project status, taking into account IFRS, early identification of discrepancies and initiates targeted actions
# Holds regular project status meetings and organizes acceptance of milestone work results
# Manages acceptance of delivery units and services, performing quality controls
# Documents/Data all work results according to the valid document management standards
# Organizes customer acceptance tests and final project handover to contract partner(s)
# Participation on regular EHS side walk down
# Ensures Subcontrator Pre-Qualification and Expediting (Time and Quality)

Leadership & Communication :

# Ensures efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders
# Ensures targeted and full communication within the project team incl. regional entities
# Agrees targets with project staff and delegates defined responsibilities and authority
# Provides input in the context of employee evaluation for all Staff delegated to the project
# Coaches and controls the team/individual members of staff
# Holds feedback sessions with each directly assigned member of staff
# Seeks active feedback (e.g. from members of staff, managers, customers)
# Motivates the project team
# Takes functional responsibility for all Non- PM Staff delegated to the project
# Shows Leadership Responsibility for Health&Saftey&Environmental Management (incl. Instruction Site)
# Takes Responsibility for Security and Preventive and Reactive Crisis Management (incl. Construction site and Offshore)

Networking for business development :
# Communicates on a cross-Sector/Division or Cluster/Region level with internal contacts on opportunities for doing further business
# Cooperates with line experts on Business Development

Knowledge Management
# Seeks and actively utilizes sources of information, knowledge and experience
# Analyzes information, knowledge and experience, and makes project learnings available
# Conducts a project closure meeting and a Lessons Learned Workshop
# Seizes opportunities to learn from others and to exchange experience
# Coaches/Mentors new project managers according to requirements

Business Integrity :
# Seeks and actively utilizes information on current compliance with relevant policies and regulations within Siemens: mainly Business Conduct / Tax regulations / Delegation of employees / Export Control / EHS (environment, health and safety)
# Involves the respective Compliance Officer(s)
# Forwards all relevant information to the project team members and partners
# Sets up a framework to ensure regular checks of the compliance in the project, e.g. by conducting the appropriate milestones / Quality Gates

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Professional experience in different functions (e.g. sales, project management, engineering, construction & commissioning) in international turnkey plant business.
- Experience in general management of large-scale, international projects.
- Has demonstrated proficiency in disciplinary leadership and effective motivation of a large number of employees.
- Has intercultural skills and has lived and worked in other countries and in international teams.
- Should be proficient in English (spoken & written)
- No limit to go abroad
