The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Buyer / Senior Buyer The role is initially for a 6 month period working within the purchasing department. There are various positions across a number of commodities to provide additional support whilst current heads are diverted to specialist projects. The role will assume responsibility for a portfolio of components in one of a variety of commodity areas within the Purchasing function. Buyers are accountable for managing the supplier relationship and achieving their spend and cost saving targets on time and in budget.

Key Responsibilities –
•Managing relationship with suppliers on and off site. - Sourcing new product in line with cycle plan –
•Controlling expenditure related to design, testing, goods and services. - Annual cost improvement negotiations. - Identifying emerging market sourcing opportunities in countries such as Brazil, Russia and China working with BRICE team - Benchmarking of existing products Primary Relationships & Interactions –
•Purchasing Manager and Buyer colleagues. - Supply Base Externally - PD or other functional budget holders - STA (Supplier Technical Assistance)

•Purchasing and sourcing skills (end to end). Able to demonstrate good negotiation skills.
•Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal. An aptitude to working in a changing and challenging environment.
•Able to manage and execute projects on time and in budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified to degree level
Purchasing Experience.
•Experience of sourcing - end to end.
•Purchasing Experience Essential A
•Able to demonstrate good negotiation skills
