The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Responsible for construction management and implementation of telecommunications, electrical, and instrumentation scope.

This includes management/supervision of a team of construction supervisors and construction engineers. Leads the team in safe and efficient coordination of contractor work scope including contractor mobilization, detailed scheduling, budget management, interface management, change control, quality, construction completion, and turnover for operations. Responsible to manage contractor’s safety, field installations, labour relations, productivity, manpower planning, material and construction equipment planning, and adherence to work plan and schedule.

• Assist in early site construction planning/construction planning interface with EPCM contractor prior to site mobilization
• Serve as day-to-day interface with EPCM contractor/craft labor during the Construction Phase, providing a focus on safety, quality, schedule and cost
- Provide safety monitoring/leadership
- Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress
- Provide oversight of contractor’s materials management/verification systems
- Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans
- Monitor workforce productivities/progress relative to schedule
- Monitor environmental/EIA compliance, as required
- Liaise with contractor for field level changes, e.g., scope, costs, etc.
- Verify post-site arrival of procured equipment and engineering equipment
• Serve as liaison with Site Manager on barriers/emerging issues
• Provide pre-commissioning/mechanical completion oversight/verification
• Supervise the mechanical completion phase and transition to final Hookup and Commissioning Phase
• Coordinate Construction Foremen
• Assist Quality Audits

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University Degree or relevant experience/certifications
20 years Construction experience
15 years relevant experience
Technical/Specialist Skills: Expertise in managing/supervising teams of construction supervisors/engineers in gas telecommunications, instrumentation and electrical construction. System Expertise: Oil and Gas, LNG plants.
Personal Attributes: Team player, good communicator, respected by peers and reports.
Higher national certificate or equivalent
