The Company:
A natural gas and oil company engaged in the exploration, exploitation, development and production of onshore natural gas and oil properties.

The Role:
Primary Objective:

Receives geological assignments of limited scope and complexity. Uses a variety of standard geological and problem solving techniques. Assists more senior professionals in carrying out tasks. Duties are assigned with detailed oral and occasionally written instructions. Work is reviewed in detail with guidance given. Gives limited technical guidance to junior professionals or technicians working on a common project. Typical assignments would be to review data received from drilling or drilled wells, documents results with limited data analysis and mapping.

Job Functions:
Assists senior professional personnel in the preparation of geological interpretations, displays, reports, etc.
Assists with the preparation of geological and geophysical studies as requested by management for properties managed by the Company.
Keeps abreast of new technology and industry development
Participates constructively in a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment and have the ability to balance conflicting priorities to accomplish company goals
Supports his/her recommendations through oral presentations, written reports, maps, cross-sections, calculations, and other support data.
Performs other related duties and/or special projects as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Geology. Developed knowledge of oil and gas production. Developed knowledge of geological exploration techniques and geochemical sampling. Working knowledge of company accounting procedures and basic accounting practices. 2-5 years related work experience.


Well-developed analytical and problem solving abilities. Ability to research information. Effective written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with manual dexterity to lift, bend and jump. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
