The Company:
Our client is a major international oil and gas operator.

The Role:
Job Role:
Work within a team of Reservoir Engineers, Geophysicists and Petrophysicists to optimize the development of the operated fields by stochastically modelling the reservoirs using Petrel software.

Responsibilities:
• Use cores, logs, well production history, structural maps, regional geological studies, and knowledge of sedimentology and geostatistics to build and maintain accurate stochastic reservoir models of the operated fields
• Understand and capture the volumetric uncertainties in the reservoir model.
• Communicate geologic concepts to reservoir and production engineers to determine the optimal plan of development for the fields
• Receive, provide quality control for, and analyse all new geologic data. This data is to be incorporated into the reservoir characterization and modelling.
• Perform and oversee sedimentologic and / or other specialist studies and integrate results into multi-disciplinary field reservoir descriptions.
• Integrate (MDT) formation pressure data and well production history into geologic understanding
• Contribute to structural interpretation by interfacing with project geophysicist and other structural geoscience experts
• Routinely prepare detailed geologic maps of any and all reservoir properties including various isochores: gross and net sand, net pay, porosity, and any other relevant properties, such as Sw and permeability
• Recommend new geologic studies and support all aspects of development activities
• Preparation of implantation reports (original permit documents) for development wells.
• Communicate the concepts and details of the reservoir models to management, partners and government agencies through written technical reports and slide presentations.
• Continually keep abreast of new geoscience technology for application to the projects.
