The Company:
Our client is a leading Global Oil and Gas Operating Company.

The Role:
Company is seeking a Petroleum Engineer, Level I - IV. This position is based in Anchorage, AK. The length of the position is 3+ months with long term potential.
The role and responsibilities are as follows:

- The successful individual will have a broad knowledge of applied reservoir-scale geology and geophysics.

- Incorporate log, core, petrophysical, seismic, production and other data to evaluate well results, assist in planning new well locations and assess further development play potential.

- Provide geological expertise on a multi-discipline asset team testing new ideas as well as supporting emerging development projects to meet team and corporate goals.

- Strong prospecting skills with the ability to integrate subsurface (well) information into interpretations with use of cross-sections, maps, seismic displays, visualization techniques, fault mapping, etc.

- Proficiency in 2D and 3D workstation interpretation is desired but not required.

- Responsible for regional and localized subsurface mapping, approval of proposed well locations providing geological support to development decisions, recommending operations to optimize production, increasing recovery and adding reserves.

-Presentation of assessments and resulting recommendations to asset team and management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Master's degree in Geophysics or Geology.
10+ years of industry experience.
