The Role:
The role is to provide GeoTechnical and Administrative support for both the Sub – Surface and Project Team. The end result will be a well ordered Geotechnical and Project database and retrieval system. This will allow easy access to Reports, Files and Studies This will enable quick access of data and a high standard of subsurface work to be completed and clearly presented to management .The Technicians role has the potential to influence the company's success by supporting the efforts of the Sub-surface and Project teams involved in the Exploration and Development of Field and the area. The Technician will work closely with team members that will include Geologists Geophysicists, Petrophysicists, and Engineers (Reservoir and Project), in order to help the company make the best technical and commercial decisions.

Primary Functions & Dimensions:
•Accountable for computer-assisted geological support to GG &RE staff
•Managing digital databases related to various software packages used by the team (Openworks, Seisworks, Stratworks, Petrosys, Geolog, ArcGIS and OFM)
•Accountable for computer mapping, (structure & net pay) and cross section generation
•Organising and Retrieving well information such as DST, completion and production data.
•Digitizing, scanning and archiving maps and diagrams both Geotechnical and Engineering
•Creating PowerPoint slides and maps for management presentations
•Generate & Plot maps & seismic lines.
•SharePoint administrator for site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•A Bsc level geoscience degree
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
•Familiarity with mapping projections and applications.
•Willingness to learn new software applications related to data management and manipulation.
•Ability to work independently and multi-task.
•Strong communication skills and drive to deliver results.
•High level of initiative, energy and creativity.
•Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
•Organizational skills - ability to prioritize responsibilities.
•Adaptability to a changing environment..
