The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
The Geosequestration Manager is accountable for delivering a safe, technically robust and commercially attractive CO2 re-injection option for the native reservoir CO2. Geosequestration carries opportunities and risks across a broad spectrum (technical, commercial, political, reputational). It therefore must be managed according sound project management principles and to high technical standards to ensure a positive and robust investment decision can be considered at the appropriate time. 0The Geosequestration Manager is part of the GHG Leadership Team, which is tasked with definition and implementation of the overarching Ichthys GHG strategy

Reporting to General Manager GHG, primary functions of this role include:
Define the strategy and a clear business case for successful delivery of a geosequestration solution, in line with the overarching Greenhouse Gas strategy.
Ensure senior management is aware of the strategy, risks and opportunities associated with geosequestration and briefed adequately to make decisions and correctly represent this opportunity towards internal and external stakeholders.
Act as the company representative on the Research Advisory Committee of the CO2CRC.
Define the project objectives and key decision points and create, in close cooperation with relevant departments, a work plan that aligns with the Ichthys project plans, meets the defined objectives and enables timely project decisions to be taken. Track progress against plans and take corrective action as required.
Implement an assurance framework that ensures key deliverables are independently verified and that key decisions are robust.
Develop and implement a comprehensive risk and opportunity management process that drives work and resource planning and defines priorities
Extract maximum benefit from Inpex membership of external CCS organizations such as the CO2CRC and the GCCSI.
Ensure the head office and the Joint Venture Participants are fully aligned with the strategy and work plans and that key milestones and investment decisions are accomplished in line with the schedule.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
15+ years experience in the oil & gas industry
Several years experience in management of significant oil & gas opportunities or projects.
Preferably experience in CCS projects
