The Role:
OVERVIEW:

Consistent, transparent and informative Global Exploration CPC (capex, production, and resource profiles) and monthly capex updates (Commitment table)
Preparation of Global Exploration portion of Upstream strategy, financial, internal and external presentations
Stochastic and deterministic economic evaluations that assist in quality decision making
Consistent and timely resource capture volumes, P8 database and project transfer
Consistent reservoir engineering, well evaluations and conceptual field development plans
Manages the exploration portfolio optimization plan for quarterly review
Assists WWE organizations in risk evaluations ensuring business strategies and evaluations are implemented with clarity and consistency
Preparation of consistent Global Exploration Business Continuity plan and BBS observation reports


Responsibilities:
Leads the Global Exploration Corporate Planning Cycle (CPC) 5 year Plan of capex, production, economic and resource forecasting. Works closely with Upstream, International Production Operations (IPO), and North America Production Operations (NAPO) Planning Managers to ensure integration, consistency and transparency of project evaluations and forecasts.
Directs risk-based stochastic and deterministic economic modeling evaluations of all GLOBAL EXPLORATION prospects, ensuring integration, consistency and transparency of development planning, assumptions and evaluation. Evaluations are appropriately tailored to the immediate decision
Directs the current-year monthly Global Exploration capital, seismic and expense monitoring and updating (Commitment Tables). Keeps Upstream Planning Manager informed about changes in budget and seeks approval of material changes
Directs compilation of resource capture volumes and P8 prospect resources volumes
Drafts Global Exploration internal/external presentations, reports (Annual Report, 10-K, Fact Book) and slides (Analyst Meetings, Global Exploration Quarterly Employee Communication meetings, Quarterly earnings calls, BoD meetings, Executive Committee Accountability Meetings, EVP Upstream requests, etc), ensuring consistency of presentation message.
Assists in development of regional exploration plans, supplying reservoir engineering and economic evaluations
Identifies and develops multiple exploration portfolio strategies with the Global Exploration Leadership Team with goal to optimize the exploration portfolio for profitable growth.
Monitor the execution of strategies to optimize performance and viability of Global Exploration goals. Manage a centralized data collection and analysis of Global Exploration portfolio
Develop employees’ leadership and technical abilities through career and succession planning
Responsible for Global Exploration’s compliance with corporate Hold Orders
Coordinates Global Exploration Enterprise Content Management Team View efforts
Focal point for Global Exploration’s Health Environment and Safety (HES) Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and Business Continuity efforts, ensuring results are reported and continuity plans are in place and reviewed annually.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelors or Graduate University Degree

Major/Discipline: Geology, Engineering or Finance

Years Experience Required : 10+ preferred
Requires excellent presentation and communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills with supervisory experience and, imagination and creativity with a strong business sense

Direct Reports: 3-4 Reservoir Engineers, 2 Planning analysts, 1 Geoscience/competitor analyst
