The Company:
Our client is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of professional technical services. With 2011 revenues of over $10 billion, offering support to industrial, commercial, and government clients across multiple markets. Services include scientific and specialty consulting as well as all aspects of engineering and construction, and operations and maintenance.

The Role:
We are searching for a purchaser to join our team in Stockton, who will have overall responsibility for operational IT software purchasing activities and supplier communication and coordination.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Execute IT software purchases and ordering according to applicable client rules & processes
Monitor and secure compliance to preferred client suppliers
Review all information and include all supporting documents for purchase
Adhere to client purchasing policies, standards and processes
Maintain license inventory/asset register and perform administrative duties
Close communication and collaboration with strategic category team
Frequent communication with domestic and international suppliers
Conduct supplier commercial and contract negotiation for selected suppliers and categories

Qualifications / Personal Attributes
Minimum 2 years relevant experience from operational procurement
Understanding of general value chain principles and cross functional collaboration
IT sourcing knowledge and experience is an advantage (but not a prerequisite)
Competence from IT or Finance is an advantage
Hold excellent command of English, both oral and written
Structured and precise working methods
Strong degree of motivation and drive
Ability to work with and manage both internal and external relationships at all levels
Outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently, perform against differing work demands and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
