The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
Strategic:
• Support the Manager – Risk & Compliance in contributing to the achievement of Muntajat’s vision by taking initiatives in improving Muntajat’s business continuity and disaster recovery programs.
• Contribute toward the formulation of strategy, annual business plan, policies and procedures of Risk & Compliance Section to support organizational business strategy.
• Assist the Manager – Risk & Compliance in meeting set targets and objectives
of Muntajat’s Business Continuity function.


Operational:
• Ensure the development and subsequent deployment of the enterprise-wide Business Continuity Planning (BCP) / Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning exercise to enable Muntajat to manage continuity and respond to unforeseen calamities/ disasters.
• Assist the Manager – Risk & Compliance in ensuring that the work of internal customers (departments / sections) is least hampered due to unforeseen disaster/ crises events through the establishment and implementation of a robust BCM program/ plan for Muntajat.
• Ensure external customers continue to be serviced in times of disaster/ crisis.

• Conduct a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for all processes and sub-processes to identify those perceived as critical on which BCP/ DR efforts can then be focused.
• Coordinate with other departments / sections for the identification of personnel assigned to perform BCP related responsibilities and continually interact with such personnel for driving BCP related test plans, obtaining and analyzing test results, etc.
• Continually review the existing assignment of responsibilities for the BCM process in conjunction with the Department / Section Heads and ensure that such personnel are capable and aware of their duties and responsibilities in the case of a particular crisis.

• Provide inputs to develop a workable recovery plan that is being maintained on a continuous basis in light of the changes occurring in the organization.
• Develop and update periodically BCP and DR policies and procedures in light of emerging trends in BCP and organizational/ process changes that impact the BCP
• strategy/ plan as directed by the Manager – Risk & Compliance
• Conduct BCP and DR testing and readiness analysis using documented and approved test scenarios to ensure that all personnel are properly trained to respond to disaster/ crises including those who are directly involved in the BCP process as well as other business unit level personnel of Muntajat, not directly involved in the BCM process.
• Ensure that the BCP and DRP test results are continually fed back into a lessons learnt document to drive the future BCP/ DRP testing efforts and facilitate the success of the overall BCM plan.
• Develop the Data Back Up Plan and select back-up site(s) for the various business units / departments/ sections (including entities/ units outside Qatar), and ensuring that the primary and back-up site resiliency is up to acceptable and workable standards.
• Continually assess/ determine the level of planning preparedness to recover primary site locations following instances of business disruption or disaster.
• Ensure continuous compliance with the policies, procedures, prevailing practices and applicable regulations pertaining to business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Keep current with latest applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to business continuity and disaster recovery planning and management.
• Stay abreast of current and changing trends and leading practices in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and management.
• Prepare relevant reports related to Muntajat’s business continuity and disaster
recovery planning and management.

• Ensure that the overall processes pertaining to Business Continuity are conducted in an efficient and effective manner.
• Keep the Manager – Risk & Compliance informed of significant Business Continuity related issues that may jeopardize the achievement of Muntajat goals.
• Assist the Manager – Risk & Compliance in developing the Section budget.

• Perform any other tasks as directed by the Manager – Risk & Compliance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education and Experience


• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or
other related discipline from a recognized university.

• Professional certification such as Certified Business Continuity Professional
(CBCP) or other similar certification is preferable.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience of which a minimum of 2 – 3 years should be in a similar position/responsibility, preferably in a similar industry
