The Role:

The position must support Regional work and understand the unique nature and possess the multiple skills in working with the various opco's within Asia South SBU and Corporate PAPA. Excellent in analysis and facilitation skills. Excellent command in English both speaking and writting.

Business Supports
• Develop and utilize Stakeholder Management & Tracking application to manage and monitor movement/transition of those key stakeholders in Asia South BU. To capture and analyze stakeholder information and make the report for General Manager PGPA, President of each profit center, and Managing Director of Asia South.
• Represent company and Asia South Business Units in lobbying, interacting, negotiating, coordinating, and participating in any designated projects and/or activities with global agencies (namely US-ASEAN, AMCHAM, etc.), national and local governments, Trade and Industry Associations, to enhance company’s benefits as well as Corporate Image. Form alliances and work with Asia South Profit Center’s PGPA Team to develop project scopes and designs and assists in implementation on Key Signature Projects regarding government affairs, public affairs and protocols.
• Monitor Government energy regulatory issues, reforms, policies. Communicate the impact of changing of laws and regulations impacting those business unit operations in Asia South to General Manager, PGPA.

• Building and manage good relations with different stakeholders, business leaders and government officials in the areas in which projects will be developed and located

Strategic Planning

• Be a key analytical resource person in developing “Political Research Quarterly” Report, covering all six countries within the Asia South Business Unit. Provide viewpoint, in-depth analysis, and assessments on socio-economic and political environment, with regards to Asia South Strategic Direction (business and operation), to General Manager PGPA and other senior managements as per request.

• Develop, review and implement Stakeholders Matrix for Asia South SBU and improving stakeholder understanding. Maintain Relationship Map and develop strategic plan to achieve our business goal.
• Be the Process Owner of OE Expectation (Element 13) – Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy. Compare the locations legislative and regulatory advocacy positions against those of similar operations to determine if they are consistent.
• Develop and manage external affairs strategies and program to support Asia South Business Unit business objectives; at the same time, protect and enhance the Company’s reputation

• Align Policy and Government Affairs internally as well as with company’s business priorities and Strategies.

• Manage and execute important appointments for VIP visits and other key official arrangements

• Always maintain CVX business Code of Conduct, Ethics, FCPA etc while working with the Government officials.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree required; 3-5 years relevant experiences
- Computer skills: MS Office and Power Point required.
- Experience dealing with Government’s/Government Affairs in Asia region
- Additional Languages (ie Chinese, Vietnamese, Khemer)
