The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
As a Graduate Commissioning Engineer you will report directly to the Operations Manager who may delegate day to day supervision to other Managers across the business unit. You will be assigned to various projects across the UK and there will also be a requirement ot travel overseas with occassional offshore work.

Key duties for the role will include:

• Carry out the activities of a ‘Commissioning Engineer’ whilst utilising the company safe systems of work and complying with all statutory legislation.
• Carry out the commissioning activities as detailed in any inspection and test plan and/or design intent plan or as approved/authorised by customer or customer representative.
• Carry out commissioning activities as detailed in any operations and maintenance manuals for both the company and any other 3rd party Generator Protection products and Excitation Systems.
• Promote good relations and synergy both internally and externally.
• Complete all commissioning documentation including as built diagrams in a timely manner
• Represent the organisation at Commissioning Working Party Meetings held at site.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on all company and customer locations and properly maintain all instruments, vehicles, tools, protective clothing and test instruments ensuring with valid calibration and PAT test certification
• Manage, monitor, develop and motivate the staff under his control, to contribute towards maximum individual and collective effectiveness.
• Keep the Operations Manager and Project Engineer aware of any personnel problems or Technical problems.
• Assist in the training of personnel on new and modernised equipment as required.
• Report promptly any potential new business opportunities while visiting customer premises.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum B. Sc. or B. Eng. in a Electrical Power Engineering discipline accepted
- National Safety Group Safety Passport
- Offshore Survival training
- Can demonstrate a good working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and procedures
