The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit a Graduate who has some industry experience to work as part of a team on a variety of engineering and consultancy assignments to deliver a wide range of instrument, control and electrical engineering activities including new project design and operational plant support. This could range from minor plant modifications on a live plant through to front end design for larger projects.
Although you will be based in Teesside, the nature of the work will give you the opportunity to see a wide range of Process Industries throughout the UK and potentially overseas therefore, to be considered for the role, you must already have full authorisation to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will be contributing to real projects from day one and therefore you must be able to demonstrate your skills, abilities, motivation and commitment, with a view of making a positive contribution to the company’s bottom line.
My client will work with you to provide both support and training to help increase your experience so that you can become one of their future technologists, consultants or managers.
They will assist you to become professionally registered with the appropriate institution and provide you with a mentor throughout your development programme. The development will be focused around solving real business problems, individually or in teams and also collaboration with fellow graduates from their existing graduate programme.

Key objectives:
- As a Graduate Consultant, you will have a confident personality and take personal responsibility for developing basic consultancy skills whilst delivering agreed target levels as part of consultancy team.
- You must Identify opportunities for repeat / sell on opportunities for work within own area.
- Don't be afraid to seek guidance on technical and commercial issues.
- Generate solutions in line with established standards/methods/technologies.
- Take responsibility for technical, cost and programme elements of your own assignments.
- Contribute to both process and product development.
- Start to build and appreciation of the various product offerings in own area of expertise across the business.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- The ability to travel is required to be able to visit client sites, so applicants must have a UK driving licence or be working towards one.
- Excellent presentation skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Excellent numerical skills
- Good problem solving skills.
- Authorisation to work in the UK

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- A relevant Masters degree is desirable
- Process industry experience would be an advantage, especially in the Oil and Gas, Chemical and Power sectors
