The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Development Engineer is responsible for delivery of test activities relating to Powertrain Research & Technology projects. They will be the key interface between the project lead and hardware / test facility owners. The Development Engineer will lead development and delivery of detailed plans to support hardware procurement / installation and testing across a number of Diesel focused projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Self driven with an engineering background the Development Engineer will have excellent team working skills and an understanding of facility, instrumentation and test procedures.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of development processes / principles
- Working knowledge of Diesel and / or Gasoline engine / powertrain systems and calibration
- Disciplined approach to planning, prioritisation and evidence generation
- Must have driving licence valid for use in the UK
