The Role:
We are currently looking for a Graduate IT Desktop Analyst to work with an international oil & gas exploration company in Central London. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate in Computer Science or Mathematics from a top 20 University, and will be based in London or be willing to relocate full time. This will initially be a 'consultant' position for 12 months, with the intention of becoming a full time employee after the initial 12 months assignment. The position will come with a competitive daily rate, which is open to negotiation.

Basic Function

The Onsite Support Analysts provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for applications running on Microsoft Windows 2008 servers and a Common Operating Environment (COE) desktop. Support is also provided for commercial trading applications that often can be web based, hosted remotely and accessed through a Firewall and various other data trading feeds from companies such as Bloomberg and Reuters also exist. Reliable telecommunications is key to the commercial operations and features use of an integrated IPC dealer board system with the Cisco IP voice & data network.
In addition to providing support, the Onsite Support Analyst is involved in a variety of projects from installing and rolling out new hardware and software to working closely with the clients Business Analysts in implementing major technology changes. A major project this year and next will be to roll out Office 2016 to all desktops and laptops on site, which the successful candidate would be involved heavily in.
Due to limited time scales and busy schedules, the ability to co-ordinate and prioritise workload responsibilities is essential. The main aim of the group is to provide reliable and cost-effective services, therefore strong technical support skills are very important.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional image are essential along with good problem solving and analytical skills. A flexible and adaptable approach to different situations and the ability to cope with the pressure associated with supporting critical front-line services are also essential. Candidates must be confident working alone and dealing with senior end users, but ability to integrate and work well as part of a team is also required.

Primary Responsibilities include:
 Keep current and escalate service and support tickets allocated to the group using ServiceNow Software as well as monitoring and handling the e-mails received within the group mailbox
 Provide hands and eyes functions on local equipment for the remote support infrastructure teams
 Support applications and services within agreed Service Level Agreement requirements and priorities, and in accordance with ConocoPhillips standards and security guidelines
 Incorporate new software, software upgrades and in-house developed software into the London technical environment as required
 Order equipment from vendors, complete good receipting and invoicing processes and maintain inventory data as required.
 Undertake additional tasks as required for the business, including one-off projects, which can involve night or weekend work if office moves are required.
 Develop and maintain technical documentation

Qualifications
Experience:
Graduate with Bachelor degree or similar in Computer Science or other related degrees.

Critical Skills:
A strong knowledge in Windows 7 and Office 2013, MS Office 2106 Professional, and MS Outlook2013.
Good Knowledge of networks and Cisco technology.
Clear and consistent internal/external communicator.
Needs to be self-motivated, punctual, and will be required to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to plan and organise and be flexible to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, able to acceptextended hours of work and travel when necessary.
Must be aware of Customer needs/focus and have good Customer Service Skills.
