The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
To provide support to projects in the Process Automation Division dealing with the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industries. Based in Eaton Socon.

Normal working week is 37 hours in a modern office environment.

The position is to work within a small Graphic Development Team and graphic development, providing testing and technician services to Project Managers, Lead Engineers and project teams.

General duties include but are not limited to:
- Transposing sketches and drawings into an Operator Interface environment using proprietary packages
- checking drawings and documents for correct details, correcting where necessary
- developing design specifications
- engineering / developing new graphical solutions
- providing technician support using MicroSoft applications in developing databases or drawing packages
- graphic interface testing to written test scripts or schedules, internally or with the client
- IO Testing / Simple Application Testing to written test scripts or schedules, internally or with the client
- maintaining project documentation including reporting job progress / status in production logs
- working in a project team including coordination with other parts of the company

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Must be very PC literate (MicroSoft).
- Good Word 2003 / 2007 (at least one) skills are a requirement
- Good Excel 2003 / 2007 (at least one) skills are a requirement
- Web development experience is useful
- Previous Engineering drawing experience is useful
- accurate and meticulous but able too work to strict deadlines
- must maintain good records of work produced and to be completed
- Must able to use a Web browser
- ECDL would be beneficial.
- Acrobat and Visio would be beneficial.
- Lotus Notes (email capability) would be beneficial.
- other training will be provided if necessary.
