The Company:
An International client who provides EPC Solutions to the OIl & Gas Industry.

The Role:
1. To be a Key Person of Civil, Structural and Architectural section for a project and manage his subordinates.
2. Control quality, cost, schedule and progress for Civil, Structural and Architectural work for a project.
3. Check and review manpower allocation plan of Civil, Structural and Architectural section for a project with section manager.
4. Handling Civil, Structural and Architectural engineering items in Chemical and other kinds of plant, especially fertilizer plant.
5. Understanding client's specification and preparation of proposal documents including deviation/clarification documents. Handling negotiations with client and/or client’s consultants.
6. Communication and coordination with related parties and personnel (Client/consortium partners/subcontractors), and preparation of necessary documentation with a full understanding of contract specification, deviations & clarifications.
7. Preparation of design/engineering criteria, standards and manuals for Civil, Structural and Architectural work.
8. Check, review and comment on the design/engineering data and information provided by other engineering disciplines.
9. Review, comment and approve calculations for Civil, Structural and Architectural engineering, such as structural calculation, architectural calculation, sewer and drainage calculation, etc.
10. Review, comment and approve technical documentation for various bid packages prepared by his subordinates
11. Establishment of subcontracting strategy with related disciplines and evaluation of proposals from bidders against the above bid packages with clarification to bidders.
12. Making decision and confirmation of scope of supply, quality, design conditions and other technical matters with bidders.
13. Evaluation of bill of quantities and cost estimation for Civil, Structural and Architectural work, and selection of Sub-contractors.
14. Instruction to Sub-contractor for developing detail design/engineering with basic design data.
15. Review, comment and approve deign guide prepared by his subordinates including basic structural planning and preliminary member sizing with all related loading data to detailed design Sub-contractors.
16. Approval of Sub-contractor’s (Successful-bidder) drawings/documents against requirements specified in the design guide, specifications and standards, and their approval.
17. Establishment of overall project schedule to satisfy project requirement with related disciplines, and development of detailed schedule for Civil, Structural and Architectural work
18. Monitor schedule and progress, and reporting to management.
19. Establishment of countermeasure plan to catch up schedule and progress, in case of delay.
20. Approval of Sub-contractor’s progress payment and settlement of final payment.
21. Preparation and submission of the clarification, deviation and variation requests, and getting approval from Client.
22. Preparation and submission of documents / material to Local Regulatory Authorities, and getting approval from Authority, if necessary.
23. Communication and coordination with Client and other engineering disciplines for technical issues & interfaces.
24. Review, comment and approve construction plan, procedure with time schedule and quality control plan.
25. Coordination between Sub-contractors.
26. For field management;
a. Coordination and negotiation with Client and Sub-contractors
b. Quality, manpower, bill of quantities, cost, schedule, progress control and reporting
c. Coordination with other work related disciplines and interfaces
d. Monitoring the field work and quality control as per specifications and drawings
e. Preparation of test/inspection application to Client, witness and reporting
f. Witness test/inspection conducted by Subcontractors
g. Check, comment and approve instructions, manuals and work procedures including field design change
h. Check, comment and approve documents/drawings submitted by Subcontractors
i. Material control for materials supplied by Owner/Employer to Subcontractors
j. Instruction to Sub-contractor for application of material approval and getting approval from Client
k. Approve progress payment of Subcontractor and settlement of final payment
l. Check and follow-up of punch listed items
m. Safety and security instructions to Subcontractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Full time Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering from reputed institutes with good academic records.
Minimum 10 years detailed design experience in Civil, Structural & Architectural engineering for Chemical or other plants, including minimum 3 years management experience in the same field.
Be familiar with international codes & standards such as American code and British Standard.
Hands on experience in using relevant software like Staad Pro, Smart Plant Review, Naviswork etc.
Must be able to provide quick and effective technical and commercial solutions to suit requirements at all project stages.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in EPC companies and having wide knowledge and experience in the business.
Experience in Civil, Structural and Architectural detailed design in fertilizer plant.
Experience in building mechanical such as HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, lift, etc.
