The Role:
To support the E&P business in understanding and implementing the requirements of the Groups Policies and ensure compliance with these Group Policies. These group policies are primarily generic business governance guidelines covering all business activities such as Accounting, Finance, HSE, Procurement, Risk & Project Management, Tax etc. Carry out a gap analysis between E&P processes and these group requirements and instigate changes/improvements to close these gaps.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• To develop and acquire an in-depth understanding of the relevant Group Policies
• To summarise the Group Policies in key deliverables / requirements
• Carry out gap analysis and devise an implementation plan
• Be able to facilitate group discussions
• To be able to work together with all functions and teams including senior management
• Support the implementation of the Group Policies, including local/E&P procedure requirements
• To work closely with the BMS (Business Management Team) to ensure the requirements of group policies are formally reflected and addressed in the various functional process workflows and E&P local guidelines
• Monitor compliance to the Group Policies as a regular and on-going exercise (so that E&P can be prepared for any GP audit at any point in time) - transition from reactive to proactive mode
• Establish link between Internal control system and GPs where applicable
• Perform in-depth reviews/audits of specific implementations. Examples of requests: see-to duty for Partner Operated Assets, BMS compliance, ICS
• Provide on-going training on Group Policies’ requirements
• Assist with Corporate audits
• Ensure compliance with external/governmental regulations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification
- Preferably a minimum of 5 years consultancy/work experience within the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience in Business Process Reengineering, process changes and improvements
- Appreciation of business process and systems
- Ability to understand concepts and translate into practical implementation solutions
- Understanding financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and financial metrics
- Possesses good consultancy skills (good listener, understand challenges and can formulate solutions)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to document wok
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Flexibility and perseverance
