The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The Gorgon Downstream H&S Supervisor (Scaffolding) is a key member of the BWI HESQ project team, reporting directly to the H&S Manager Construction. The H&S Supervisor Scaffolding must possess the skills to provide Health and Safety (including specialist scaffolding) advice to Client, Contractors and their subcontractors in order to ensure that all aspects of scaffold erection, use, modification and dismantling are performed in a safe and effective manner. A key feature of the role is the ability to routinely deliver high performance results in a demanding work environment, to ensure that an effective coordinated approach is deployed which ensures scaffold activities are coordinated in a systematic manner. The H&S Supervisor Scaffolding must possess extensive experience and is technically competent (subject matter expert) in the following processes:
• Scaffold erection planning and use;
• Working at Height;
• The use of safety harness and the use of harness fall recovery and retrieval equipment;
• Scaffold Inspection/Certification (ScaffTag);
• The maintenance of a Scaffold Register;
• Review the design of ‘Special Purpose’ Scaffold;
• The use of Gin Wheels and Pulley;
• Performed Scaffold Competency Assessments;
• Scaffold Safety Training;
• Dropped Object protection measure; and
• Monitor scaffold exclusion zones to ensure that scaffold hazardous areas are effectively controlled and safety signs displayed.
• SIMOPs and communications with other discipline during scaffold erection and dismantling.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Broad technical and H&S skills in construction.
• Project experience with a large multi-disciplined workforce.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Australian or Internationally recognized Scaffold Supervisor accreditation
