Job Description:
The H&S Advisor (Assurance and Incident Investigation) is a member of the site based project management team and reports to the HSS Assurance and Compliance Team Lead.
The primary role of the H&S Advisor is to verify that the construction contractor is implementing an HSS Assurance and Self-verification programme that assures compliance with Company and Contractor Policies, Procedures and Standards. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring that Contractor incident investigations are completed and reported to an acceptable quality.
The incumbent will be required to live in a construction camp environment for extended periods of time.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Specific roles will include but not be limited to:
• Assist with the development of a safety culture that delivers excellence in H&S performance;
• Assist with the implementation of Company policies, procedures and standards;
• Participating in readiness reviews to ensure Contractor is prepared to commence activities;
• Coordinating with auditees on audit / inspection objectives, scope, schedule and logistics;
• Properly documenting audit / inspection findings;
• Working with onsite personnel to develop corrective actions for findings;
• Providing feedback on self-audit programme improvement opportunities to the HSS Assurance and Compliance Team Lead;
• Participate in incident investigations by being an incident investigation team member;
• Participate in the risk assessments;
• Monitor that all assigned action items are being closed out.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Prerequisites:
• Citizen of Azerbaijan;
• ISO 18001 Internal Auditor;
• Experienced in conducting and leading incident investigations;
• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety preferred;
• Work experience in construction safety, preference will be given to those who have oil & gas industry construction experience;
• Fluent in Azeri, English, and Russian languages;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Good command of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook;
• Interpersonal skills and experience in team working environment.
