The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The position of H&S Advisor - Marine & Dredging is for the Gorgon LNG Downstream team. The role is based on site and offers a roster of 28 days on / 28 days off.

This H&S role is focused on the Marine & Dredging aspects of site construction.

Key responsibilities:
- Review Pre qualification documentation and assess contractor’s submission as per H&S requirements.
- Liaise with Contract Managers regarding bid shortlisting.
- Review tender packages (may include on site audit of contractor).
- Develop H&S Mitigation Plans.
- Participate in pre award / award discussions and document reviews.
- Facilitate H&S kick off meetings.
- Attend contractor kick off meetings.
- Deliver H&S Mitigation Plans.
- Participate in contractor IIF (Incident Injury Free) engagement sessions.
- Review and approve plant and equipment H&S requirements.
- Engage with contractor regarding plant and equipment mobilisation requirements.
- Adhoc monitoring of plant and equipment.
- Participate in HAZID Workshops.
- Ensure close out of all actions from HAZID workshops.
- Participate in contractor site visits / engagements.
- Complete contractor Pre Start Safety Checklist.
- Participate in Pre Mobilization Readiness Review.
- Conduct contractor audits.
- Monitor and review close out of safeguard actions for contractor incidents, audits and inspections.
- Focal point for all contractor H&S queries.
Provide coaching to contractors for the implementation of project HSS management system tools in accordance with project HSS management framework, Company, Government requirements, the scope of work and other requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of the HSS MS through regular and schedule reviews and audits.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Experience in an H&S role with previous H&S Supervisory experience.
- Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical background or other construction industry related role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- HES related diploma.
- Registered Safety Professional.
