Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a H&S Advisor on a 12 month contract. The role is rotational to Barrow Island on a 28/28 roster.

The H&S Advisor is a key member of the Mainland Logistics Operations team, reporting to the HES Manager – Mainland but embedded within the Barrow Island Marine Logistics team, operationally reporting to the Harbour Controller.

The individuals within this position must possess the skills to provide H&S support to the project workforce, Contractors and their respective Sub-Contractors. A key feature of the role is the ability to routinely deliver high performance results in a demanding work environment and to ensure that an effective, coordinated approach is deployed ensuring H&S activities are aligned between our Contractors. The role will provide H&S support to Marine Logistics Operations (tugs, barges and vessels including accommodation vessels).

Key job responsibilities includes:
•Monitor Contactor work activities and verify compliance with project H&S standards are being adhered to
•Undertake HES inspections of equipment and work areas with participation with line management
•Provide coaching to Contractor line management and H&S personnel on project H&S requirements
•Undertake Marine H&S compliance audits of Contractor H&S program on project H&S requirements
• Undertake incident investigations / Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and compile reports
• Compile safety bulletins and other reports as necessary
• Participate and promote the project Hazard Intervention Program and BBS program
• Promote an Incident and Injury Free culture

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a HES Coordinator/Advisor
• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• Marine and logistics operations Health and Safety experience essential
• Experience with managing contractors
