The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
The H&S Advisor is a specialist member of the LNG construction team for the Gorgon Downstream project. They will work closely with the Contractor H&S team to ensure project HES requirements are delivered and superior H&S performance is attained. The key challenge is to develop, coach and mentor contractor HES teams to attain superior HES performance.

Duties will include:
- Liaise with and monitor contractor work activities and verify project H&S standards are being adhered to.
- Undertake H&S inspections of equipment and work areas with participation with line management.
- Provide coaching to contractor line management and H&S personnel on project HES requirements.
- Mentor Contractor H&S teams re H&S performance.
- Undertake compliance audits of contractor H&S program.
- Participate and promote the project BBS (Behavioural Based Safety), and IIF (Incident Injury Free) programs.
- Undertake incident investigations and compile reports.
-Compile safety bulletins and other reports as necessary.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Effective communication, coaching and mentoring skills.
- Previous H&S Advisor / Coordinator experience.
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Major prject or heavy industry sector experience (preferably construction).
- Experience with managing multiple contractors ie. earthworks, civil, mechanical, and/or electrical.
