The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
Head of Business Development responsibility is to support the organization goals, more specifically taking responsibility for collaborative research and development of the new projects who will create and develop opportunities and will negotiate and secure collaborative projects

• Support the development of the Business development strategy and implementation plan
• Lead the new Petrochemical and Chemical Project that will be joining Muntajat Portfolio.
• Lead the market research and marketing planning for the new products joining Muntajat in the future
• Develop new and cultivate existing relationships with partners, continually researching and developing new collaborative opportunities
• Identify and manage key relationships to ensure delivery of successful project opportunities
• Take ownership of processes and ensure compliance with customer requirements, legislation, good practice and regulatory requirements
• Plan and deliver the technical business plan for projects development
• Identify growth opportunities and new business opportunities
• Be responsible for the Business Development Team and ensure that they are proactively developing new business and relationships
• Manage the different projects that are in the pipeline and coordinate with the different stakeholders internally and externally
• Prepare the marketing plan for the different products in the different new projects
• Oversee the update and the maintenance of the marketing plan to ensure it reflect the latest market conditions
• Oversee and corporate with the sales and marketing team for the implementation of the marketing plan
• Monitor the performance of the sales and marketing team in achieving the
• grow revenue through maintaining, developing and growing their current customer base, whilst also actively hunting for new business globally. This requires you to conduct lead generation activities and qualify active leads. You will have a strong focus on service delivery and relationship management with clients and distributors. Your daily responsibilities include client visits, cold calling and other business development activities. Contract negotiation and negotiation of pricing conditions are also key aspects of this role.
• Develop a knowledge of the expert network industry landscape including all competitors, products, pricing and differentiators
• Establish and maintain a sound understanding of clients’ strategy, workflows, the competitive environment and key drivers behind clients’ need for change/buying decisions
• Responsible for projecting capacity, costs, personnel, equipment, reagents and time requirements for test procedures and/or technology platforms being developed or implemented, including ongoing calibration and maintenance where required.
• Function in a team environment, recognizing that priorities will shift according to business needs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Provide client/prospect feedback to sales and management
• Develop the knowledge and the experience of the reporting analysts to ensure their skills before relocating to the sales and marketing team upon the launch of the project
• Maintain relationship with the directors of the producing projects
• Maintain detailed, accurate and updated notes and feedback from customers
• Initiate the contacts and communication with the possible customers to evaluate their feasibility and define the value proposition
• Develop and lead the Business Development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities Monitor.
• Prepare and develop the skills of the analysts reporting to him/her for the new products and the knowledge transfer to the sales and marketing team
• Leads the planning, monitoring, execution, and successful completion of all projects in the portfolio – on time, on budget, on quality, and on scope.
• Ensure that projects are planned and executed in a manner consistent with company strategy, commitments, goals, and standards.
• Collaboratively work with all roles of each project team to ensure valid tasks, dependencies, resources, durations, etc.
• supervise the preparation of weekly internal project status reports.
• Ensure continuing development of the process for managing Muntajat’s portfolio of projects, with particular focus on the initiation phase and dependencies between projects and departments

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or equivalent.
• MBA or Master’s degree in related field is preferable.

Around 6 years of experience in Market Research preferably in Chemical / Petrochemical Industry
