The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
The incumbent will be responsible to evaluate the design and the implementation of the innovative analytical strategy to monitor segmentations; will play a pivotal role in the further development of the business; to build an Operational Plan and link Strategies into the operational plan; to manage the Customer Satisfaction Program and ensure the feedback is used to improve product quality, diversify range, improve product packaging, better logistics, etc; to manage activities related to Research & Analysis: either Economic or Commercial; to develop the Marketing strategy for various regions; to advise on the existing & potential international market for Chemicals based on latest data; and to explore new avenues for business growth and propose these Marketing & Sales; advises Product and Sales Managers on pricing and P&L matters; and contributes to the Senior Management team’s strategic, and forecast planning efforts; This position is responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of innovative strategies to ensure profitable enrollment growth of various product categories

• Participate actively with Products Managers for the timely completion of product analysis, as well as formal product marketing plans, presentations, and implementation of product changes

• Responsible to evaluate new product concepts specific to product line and local market areas.

• Responsible to monitor the product development process into design, development, introduction and incorporation into overall portfolio for ongoing management.

• Accountable to evaluates existing products for consolidation and closure and executes on the recommendation.

• Lead the Development business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Chemicals product range.

• Implement pricing strategies for various products grades in Chemicals and lead product level modeling/analytics.

• Contribute to the formulation of the strategic pricing frame work Long and Short Terms.

• Leading projects involving a wide range of analysis including profit analysis, marketing analytics, product analysis, credit and risk.

• Designing and implementing a leading segmentation, optimization and personalisation strategy and action plan

• Support and advice the Chemicals team in contributing to the achievement of Muntajat’s vision by taking initiatives in improving Muntajat’s Marketing & Sales of Chemicals

• Accountable to support the formulation of strategy, annual business plan, policies and procedures of Marketing & Sales Chemicals Department to support organizational business strategy.

• Advice the Chemicals M&S team to set up targets and objectives of Marketing & Sales Chemicals Sales.

• Lead to implement the Global Marketing & Sales Strategies related to gaining more market share and also work on alternate strategies (focus on creating: ‘core strategies’ and also ‘back-up plans’).

• Actively participate and contributes in creating the Marketing Strategy document (5 years horizon) and also the Operational Planning and Strategy (1 to 2 years horizon) documents.

• Advice and participate with the Chemicals team in the implementation of the marketing strategy and also in various initiatives linked to this implementation.

• Create and develop ad-hoc and also Planned Reports, Researches, studies, Intelligence gathering based on needs of the Senior management at Muntajat for Chemicals Division.

• Cooperate and coordinate with other Heads product line “HGMBA” to achieve synergies between all Muntajat Product Portfolio.

• Accountable to monitor critical pricing inputs and insights into important price trends and market trends (anything that would directly or indirectly impact Muntajat margins).

• Lead various market researches to gain insights into prevailing market conditions and envisage important future trends in Chemicals Business.

• Provide regular updates based on the latest pricing trends, and circulate the same to defined list of recipients.

• Work upon key inputs from research and also from the Global Marketing Network/regional sales teams with regards to pricing, new products/grade; perform Qualitative and Pricing Analysis based on the same.

• Lead the Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP), co-ordinate to contact customers and collect data, then analyze same to extract maximum benefit from the information customer has provided.

• Complete the CSP circuit to ensure that concerned persons are informed regarding the outcomes of the Customer Satisfaction Program and also ‘corrective actions’ are taken to reduce / eliminate these areas of dissatisfaction / customer grievances.

• Participate in tradeshows / exhibitions / seminars to makes brief summary document and also detailed excel sheet covering all walk-ins at the tradeshows, and recommends further participation in the same shows.

• Maintain the information gathered from various sources in a systematic and organized manner.

• Lead out detailed economic and commercial evaluation studies for the expansion of our Global network.

• Lead out specific marketing surveys to investigate Muntajat’s position and image in the market.

• Maintain all the records of approved periodic Price Guidelines and related matters/approvals.

• Provide annual product requirement and other relevant information for the preparation of annual Operational budget.

• Assist the Product line team in Chemicals in preparation of country/grade/product wise sales budgets (Monthly/Yearly).

• Assist the Manager in developing/maintain Financial Models.

• Keep current with latest market evolution and trends.

• Stay abreast of current and changing trends and leading practices in Chemicals Production Planning.

• Prepare reports related to Chemicals Production Planning.

• Participate in developing the Strategic & Planning Budget.

• Perform any other tasks as directed by the Director Strategic and Planning in line with his Role Objectives.

• Monitor the performance and the frequency of customers complaints and claims.

• Monitor the performance of the operation and logistics processes of the products.

• Share the knowledge of the products related information for the new comers and provide training when needed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or equivalent.
• MBA or Master’s degree in related field is preferable.

Around 6 years of experience in Market Research preferably in Chemical / Petrochemical Industry
