The Role:
Fircroft are seeking Head of inspections for a long term contract with an Oil & Gas company in Qatar

Rotation : 5x2
Location: Doha
Pay: TBC
Flights/Accommodation: Provided

Job Description
Formulate, execute and control major inspection related surveys to all topside process
piping, pipelines, Static equipment and Structures & Associated Fields in line with 5 Years Inspection Plan.
Formulate and compile calibration and overhaul programmes for safety relief valves
associated with static equipment and topside pipework and associated Wellhead Jacket.
Detailed technical review of equipment and specifications for pressure containing plant, product storage, safety relief devices to ensure safe operational use by asset holder.
Provide enhanced technical inspection solutions and focal point for liaison with operation departments to ensure technical support is available to asset holder to enhance operational asset integrity.
Ensure conformity of appropriate specifications, codes and practices & International Standards. Recommend and implement proactive inspection solutions with intent of continuous improvement of the division’s objectives.
Detailed Review of Inspection surveys and examination results to establish, implement and control additional and future inspection requirements of Static plant/pipework & structure on Wellhead Jackets in the Field.
Shall possess a sound practical understanding and working knowledge of appropriate NDT techniques as utilized within the offshore division to be responsible in allowing planning of short and long term Inspection objectives and activities.

Principal Accountabilities
Directs and controls the activities of assigned personnel. Interface with operation departments during on-going operations and in shutdown co-ordination meetings to ensure all inspection objective requirements during these times are met. Formulate, establish and approve inspection related shutdown schedule requirements and detailed work scopes for inspection on plant, equipment and pipework during associated shutdowns
Formulates and initiates within SAP contract work scopes for inspection requirements
as required, inclusive of specialized inspection techniques and be responsible for subsequent technical tender evaluations on all submitted tenders.
Responsible to navigate and utilize corporate IMS, RBI and SAP software systems to ensure full optimization of manpower and logistical requirements to ensure asset integrity. Reviews RBI assessments to ensure methodology is compliant with requirements.
Responsible for advising operations group for safety valves devices overhaul calibration and recertification requirements. Ensures that the relevant OPGs are adhered to. Solely responsible for maintaining and updating documentation and inspection registers, allocate tag numbers of new relief valves.

Shall have a sound and practical understanding of all applicable codes and specifications, such as ASME / ANSI/ API/ BS-EN and implement as required prior approved relevant procedures and work instructions pertaining to these codes and in line with management system.
Formulates & compiles work scopes. Directs and implements Inspection surveys on
Remote wellhead jackets. This includes structure, risers, conductors, pipework and pressure vessels Including non-destructive testing of pipework structure and associated equipment. Evaluate Integrity and testing data, recommends remedial action to asset holder.
Directs Qatari Staff on PDP with the requirements for in house training, experience and technical aspects. Liaise with Qatari Development department in all aspects of Qatari training and development.
Responsible for effective monitoring, implementation & maintaining of needed requirements of Management Systems in line with ISO 9001-2008 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and BS OHSAS 18001 (Occupational, Health and Safety Management Systems).
Responsible for ensuring compliance, implementation & maintaining of QP Policies, guidelines, procedures, and other management initiatives in line with Quality, Occupational, Health & Hygiene, Safety, and Environment within the department.
Decision Making Authority
Directs inspection related requirements to subordinates offshore, with accountability to
Assistant Manager, Inspection (Offshore).
Interfacing with other departments during on-going operations and shutdown requirements.
Decision identification to recommend repair or replacement of piping, static plant, structure or any associated equipment deemed to be beyond safe operating specification after review of submitted inspection report.
Requirements to be aware of technological advancements in the field of inspection with regards specialized inspection techniques). Knowledge of Construction obtained from actual fabrication and welding of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Pipework & Structure. Construction & Installation of Offshore Structures, Pressure Vessels, Pipelines both On and Offshore.
Thorough knowledge of Plant inspection through experience.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must be under 60 years of age to qualify for visa application

Degree or equivalent
