The Role:
General Responsibilities:

The inventory controller must ensure that the right amount of materials is stocked. This ensures that capital is not tied up unnecessarily, and protects the operation against uncertainty in the demand or if problems arise with the supply chain.

Inventory control:
• Ensure that company inventory policies are implemented and followed
• Execute cyclic (half yearly) inventory analysis on all existing stock materials
• Assist I&R and maintenance departments with reorder settings for spare parts, consumables and support materials used for maintaining company operations
• Ensure that procedures for inventory control are followed in regards to financial integrity and delegation of authority

• Advice departments and users on company inventory policy
• Advice departments and users on SAPs MRP functionality
• Assist procurement with inventory analysis in sourcing projects and when establishing framework agreements
• Assist departments/material owners with reorder settings for new materials
• Assist warehouse and material data team with reorder settings for merged materials
• Assist Drilling and Projects with reorder settings for materials procured for projects and drilling programs
• Assist in inventory clean-up and stock takes

Specific Responsibilities:
• Timely reorder approval with reorder review
• Inventory analysis on existing materials (cyclic controls)
• Issue inventory reports for departments, users and Finance

Key Performance Indicators:
• Minimization of Stock outs/service level of stocks
• Minimization of urgent orders for stocked materials
• Minimization of logistics costs for stocked materials (transport-, order- and inventory costs)
• Ensure fast response time for requests for new reorder settings
• Minimization of inventory values
• Fulfilment of cyclic reorder programme

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education and Experience

• Bachelor in industrial engineering / transports and/or logistics
• Understanding of cross-functional business processes
• Associates degree, business related
• Good math grades
• Bachelor in mathematics and/or statistics
• Experience with SAP-MM
• At least a year of professional experience

Skill set/Competences
• Strong English written and communication skills
• Driven / Result Oriented
• Open-Minded, helpful and service oriented
• Team player showing individual assertiveness, initiative, responsibility and integrity
• Good understanding of inventory forecasting techniques
• Time control/management
• Inquisitive
• Experience with target control and KPI reporting
