The Company:
Major Oil and Gas Operator

The Role:
The purpose of this position is to ensure the company has the appropriate marine capability to support operations, projects (both current and future) while also providing marine support to the project development activities.

Accountabilities:
• Define Marine Fleet –
o Determination of the Marine Demand Profile for 2012 and beyond.
o Development of the Marine Fleet Composition.
o Development of Marine cost estimation for OPE$T modelling
o Development of Marine Operating Strategy

• Deliver Marine Fleet Contracts –
o Define Marine Functional Specifications based on customers’ functional requirements
o Development of tender package, including charter party, marine operating scope and vessel specifications.
o Evaluation tender submissions and develop award proposal to tender board.

• Deliver Marine Fleet Vessels –
o Manage marine delivery contract including jetty operation and delivery schedule
o Ensure timely vessel mobilisation

• Provide Marine Expertise to project teams
o Manage vessel chartering for Exploration & Appraisal Support
o Provide Marine Expert advisory support and contribution to project installation contracts.

• Act as Head of Marine
o Liaise with STASCo on global Maritime matters
o Liaise with RoK Marine Authorities on Maritime Legislation
o Provide advisory support on Maritime training standards and requirements.
o Pursue Marine synergies with other operations within the PSA boundaries.
o Identify and develop f local content in line with SIPD social performance goals

• HSE Responsibilities
o Implement Goal Zero and Lifesaving rules in Marine contractor environment
o Demonstrate personal commitment to HSE through leading by example
o Implement Marine Process Model and Marine Standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualifications:
o Master Mariner (class 1) or Marine Engineer or equivalent maritime operational qualification.
o Experience of barge and river operations
o Candidates with naval architecture qualification are invited to apply, but qualification for this position is not considered equivalent.

• Marine Operational Experience (minimum 10 years):
o Handling and operating vessels and/or vessel machinery.
o Heavy lift and oversize load experience.
o Vessel operation in hot climate is preferred.

• E&P Marine experienced (minimum 5 years):
o translating customer requirements into functional specification
o translate customer activity profile into marine demand profile,
o develop an optimized and flexible fleet composition,
o develop contracting strategy,
o develop vessel specifications
o evaluate bids and prepare award proposal
o oversee delivery and mobilization.
