The Role:
As a result of significant expansion and as part of our strategy for sustained growth our client is seeking a Head of Onsite Consulting / Contractor Manager. The role is to manage Venture’s Onsite Consulting line of business, ensuring delivery of high quality onsite services that maintain and improve client satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Head of Professional Services, this is a key role at a senior level in the organisation with involvement in the direction and success of our services organisation and the company as a whole

As a Head of Onsite Consulting / Contractor Manager your main duties will involve:
• Close and active management of onsite consulting personnel, client-facing services management activities and monitoring and managing the business line against key financial and services delivery performance indicators.
• A people focused approach and personal style, with experience managing the performance of individuals in service delivery roles
• A client-focused attitude, and passion for excellence in service delivery
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and write persuasively at senior levels internally and with clients
• The ability to contribute as a constructive member of a team of experienced professionals in a sometimes demanding and multi-tasking environment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Head of Onsite Consulting / Contractor Manager you will have experience:
• Experience managing people or teams providing client-facing (ideally onsite) services, ideally in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience of Contractor Management and scheduling.
• Experience with the financial and commercial aspects of professional services delivery.
• Understanding of information and data management and/or technical applications support services in an oil and gas context would be an advantage.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• A track record in delivering and managing delivery of services to a business user community in a technology centred environment at a team leader level.
• BSc/BA or equivalent in Business Administration or any other discipline with numeracy and analytical skills would be a benefit.
