The Company:
are leaders in the provision of security, safety and telematics solutions for the automotive and insurance industries. A Tier One partner to the main European and Asian car, commercial vehicle and motorcycle manufacturers, developing bespoke solutions for both factory and aftermarket installation. The company has a worldwide network of around 40 local commercial partners

The Role:
The client is looking for a dynamic individual, with a demonstrable track record in distribution, logistics and operational support to lead the operations team. To provide best in class ‘just in time’ service ethic.

This role demands exceptional interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills with the ability to deliver high quality output, which demonstrates the ability to understand and achieve results within the context of the Security Solutions Sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing leadership in the planning, scheduling and implementing of business plans in order to be able to support the business growth in the UK market.
• Previous experience of managing a distribution and logistics function, preferable in a larger sized business.
• Good management and organisational abilities, particularly in the field of managing change and growth.
• Ability to motivate and co-ordinate a team of intelligent and experienced professionals and their reports.
• Excellent inter-personal and diplomatic skills.
• Ability to connect business events in own area with impact on the wider business.
• Clear thinker, able to exercise good judgment in diverse situations and under pressure.
• Able to manage competing priorities
• Ensuring communication of critical information to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfilling of business goals and objectives.
• Maintaining timely and effective communications with the Managing Director, and fellow senior managers regarding alignment with Company and Group objectives.
• Monitor the performance of staff and ensure the necessary direction and training are provided.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be educated to a high standard and will ideally have proven track record of leadership and success in a similar/complimentary environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior Operations role.

• Proven track record of success in a similar/complimentary environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior operations management role.
• Significant experience in the logistics/distribution industry is required with in depth knowledge
• Diplomatic with good negotiating skills and the ability to work with initiative and maturity.
• Educated to degree standard with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• An aptitude and thirst to understand products from a technical perspective.
• Fully computer literate and numerate with proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• A professional appearance and the social skills necessary to deal with a range of clients along with
