The Company:
Our client offer design, manufacture, assembly & testing of complex, high-intergrity mechanical and electromechanical plant equipment as well as waste management and decommissioning front-end engineering and methodologies to the nuclear industry

The Role:

1. To establish and maintain appropriate HSE and Quality systems which assure compliance to customer and regulatory requirements across business ( 3 sites)
2. To establish and maintain a HSE and Quality Governance system which includes a programme of internal auditing, management review and key performance indicators so as to assure compliance to customer standards and facilitate achievement of business goals eg Embedding Assurance and Sharing in growth.
3. To develop and deploy the HSE vision and champion HSE improvement projects, share best practice and lead continuous improvement of HSE performance and culture across the business.
4. To manage and develop a technically competent and motivated HSE and Business System team in alignment with customer, regulatory and project needs.
5. To represent the business with external bodies and stakeholders including customers, regulatory bodies etc.

Key Activities / Decision Areas

* Maintenance of an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 system across product design, manufacturing and all business functions.
* Development and maintenance of systems across design, manufacturing and all business functions.
* Maintain knowledge and understanding of Nuclear safety or other pertinent regulations, codes or standards
* Establish and maintain HSE and Q audit and assessment processes
* Establish appropriate Management Review process for HSE &Q
* Coordinating and monitoring monthly reporting of HSE and Q KPIs
* Development and implementation of HSE improvement plans.
* Investigation of HSE incidents / accidents, deploying lessons learnt and action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
* Develop and deploy a business wide behavioural safety program
* Establish a HSE Awareness
