The Company:
A fantastic opportunity to take accountability in a critical and influential position within a well-known organisation within the nuclear industry.

The Role:
You will lead all engineering activities, acting as Chief Engineer, in support to Company business objectives with responsibility for all plant maintenance, infrastructure, waste recycling and project activities.

- Contribute as a member of the Lead Team to the formulation of Company objectives, strategy, plans, policies and budgets to guide the organisation.
- Develop and implement Technical Services KPI's to ensure the delivery of cost effective solutions and implement improvements where required.
- Provide Leadership development to key managers, driving the overall performance transformation of Technical Services.
- Direct and control plant maintenance to ensure reliability and availability of operations within regulatory requirements and effective costs.
- Direct and deliver business benefit from rigorous project delivery methodology and own and report on the business performance against budget.
- Plan, direct and control the implementation of plant improvements and oversee the implementation of site improvement projects.
- Maintain the site infrastructure, buildings and building related systems to support all site operations in line with business objectives.
- Ensure that accurate and up to date records of plant installations and site services are maintained.
- Direct the scope and service delivery of the company wide documentation management processes including the physical and electronic archive requirements for regulatory, legal and commercial needs.
- Oversee the effective operation of Site Facilities management to ensure reliability and availability of the facilitating processes.
- Define and deliver a fit for purpose radiological decontamination, residue management and waste disposal service to the business in line with Regulatory expectations set by Compliance.
- Ensure the setting and implementation of engineering standards and practice across the Company.
- Provide professional and technical engineering advice on preparing and implementing programmes, projects, plans and procedures.
- Lead the development of engineering professionalism across the business.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree
- Membership of Professional Engineering Institute.
- Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level within an Engineering Support function, preferably within a Manufacturing or process environment.
- Experience of managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams is essential.
- Will ideally have experience of working in a highly regulated environment, ensuring total compliance in a fit-for-purpose, pragmatic way.
- Excellent leadership, motivational, influencing and interpersonal skills in order to gain the support and commitment of stakeholders.
- Ability to plan work in the long-term and manage change with strategic vision.
- Skilled negotiator and effective communicator
- Positive 'can-do' attitude with strong values for safety and the environment
