The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Overall scope includes design and installation of offshore subsea production facilities comprising, pipelines, onshore gas treatment, LNG liquefaction, LNG storage and load out facilities. An agreement with State Government calls for the installation of a domestic gas supply system from the Gorgon project. Current plans include re-injection of Gorgon reservoir CO2 on the project for disposal. The key responsibilities for this role are:
• Support the development of an Incident and Injury Free culture within the Upstream Development Team including contractors and the wider Gorgon Team. Support the development and implantation of OE in Gorgon.
• Enhance processes and documentation development to strengthen Managing Safe Work requirements and ensure interfaces between the Business Unit requirements and Major Capital Projects (MCP) are effectively delivered within owners teams and through Contractor Management processes.
• Act as main focal point for H&S guidance on Lifting Operations, Permit to Work, Contractor HES Management, Hazardous Materials, II&R and Managing Safe Work processes.
• Establish and sustain monitoring techniques that support Behavioral safety programs within Gorgon and act as the overall coordinator for Upstream Development for trending and continual improvements.
• Actively support MOC requirements, Incident Investigation reports, field audits & inspections (Onwer and contractor compliance) Occasional visits to offshore sites will be required.
• Provide safety advice and guidance to the Upstream Development team, sharing of safety best practice and liaise with the Gorgon PST HES Group
• Facilitate effective coordination and collaboration events with other functional groups including PST, Downstream, Operations and Regulator.
• Participate in and ensure the quality of Upstream Development H&S risk assessments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum HES Diploma, HES Degree preferred.
• 10 years Safety Background (5 years Safety Advisor in Oil and Gas).
• HES 10 years with offshore pipelines, Subsea infrastructure, Wells/Drilling and offshore construction background.
• Previous experience in Senior Safety role required due the level of influence required with multiple stakeholders. Large Projects experience is a bonus but not essential as long as worked in busy SIMOP’s environment.
• Good Influencing skills and communicator.
• HUET preferred.
