The Company:
Our client is one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies.

The Role:
The role is a maternity cover commencing 7th January 2013 until the end of October 2013.

Hours will be 9am to 2pm Monday-Friday, based on the outskirts of Maryport.


To assist and support the EHSQ Manager, ensure the effective coordination of the sites Health and Safety requirements and that all statutory and regulatory obligations are fulfilled in line with the sites Health and Safety Management System.
Assist and support in the induction/validation of contractors. Update the site approved contractor spreadsheet.
To ensure that all elements of the site Accident Prevention Plan are complied with and report the findings to the EHSQ Manager
To implement, manage and support the Risk, COSHH,and DSE assessment programmes.
To record and maintain the Accident/Incident spread sheet for further reporting requirements.
Assist in investigating incidents, determine root cause analysis, and identify remedial actions.
Schedule and arrange the Safety shower /BA/RPE services
Training administration for EHSQ- Researching suitable training courses that have been identified. Liaison with HR on this topic.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Some Health and Safety knowledge in a support role.
Organised and able to work under pressure.
Spreadsheet experience.
