The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Health and Safety Lead required for 4 year contract based in London

• Develop and implement Project HSSE Management System in compliance with both the GPO LOMS and the Middle East Region (MER) LOMS;
• Plan and deliver key HSSE activities and reports, such as health, safety and security related assessments and reviews (HIA, HRA, Security Reviews, HAZCON, etc.) required by each CVP stage;
• Provide the Functional Teams with professional health and safety inputs by attending design and engineering reviews, assessments and meetings (such as ISD, HAZID, P&ID Reviews, Plot Plan Reviews, HAZCON reviews, HAZOPs, Consequence Analysis, QRAs, LOPA, etc.);
• Develop and deliver Health and Safety Training Plan; ensure that mandatory training such as Company Defensive Driving Training and HSSE induction training are carried out;
• Ensure that all local legal and regulatory requirements are identified and the project activities are in full compliance with the requirements;
• Ensure that early site activities to be carried out by contractors meet the Client’s HSSE expectations;
• Ensure that Project office work environment meets the company HSSE expectations;
• Build relationships with relevant counterparts in the Middle East Region S&OR team;
• Manage the reporting of all HSSE incidents using company Computer System, track project HSSE performance and make recommendations to improve performance whenever necessary;
• Report HiPo/MIA/Lessons Learned data;
• Support incident investigations and reporting processes through participation, root cause analysis, actions closure, report review, etc.;
• Provide HSSE inputs to the EPC Contractor selection process, e.g. development of fit-for-purpose Company HSSE requirements for Contractors, EPC Contractor bid evaluation; ensuring that the contractual HSSE requirements are executed prior to mobilization;
• Engage contractors and effectively communicate Client HSSE expectations;
• Assist the HSSE Manager in development and implementation of the Behavioural Safety programme(s);
• Develop and execute an HSSE Assurance Programme including PHSSERs.
