The Company:

Our client is an International world renowned EPC (Engineering, procurement, construction) company. They have chosen to fabricate LNG plant production and storage modules as well as associated piping and racks in Lumut

The Role:
The Rigging Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that all Construction heavy lift and rigging are organized to support all craft lifting requirements, include the proper lifting plans have correct rigging along with certified operators and riggers. This superintendent will coordinate closely with the rigging field engineers to schedule and plan all heavy/critical lifts. This superintendent will be required to also coordinate deployment of all cranes and rigging with each of the direct hire superintendents.

Responsibilities include:

· Supervise and manage a number of craft supervisors to achieve tight construction milestones

· Assign work tasks and supervise the work such that it is undertaken in accordance with the established plan

· Review and approve lift plans and ensure crane inspections are up to date

· Equipment Planning, erection sequencing and methodologies are reviewed accordingly

· Development and oversight of rigging equipment registers

· Foster a culture amongst the workforce to ensure that safety and environmental considerations are rigorously and consistently applied during all delivery tasks

· Preparing reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.

· Monitoring the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.

· Implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.

· Coordinating activities with other disciplines or areas and clients’ resident representatives, as instructed by construction management.


Basic Qualifications

Strong supervision experience including the ability to lead and manage change is desirable
Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner
Strong experience of liaising with and coordinating contractors and vendors
Strong technical knowledge of LNG facility installations
Excellent problem solving ability
Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience
Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction or project management is desirable
