The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The H&S Advisor is a specialist member of the Field Support team and reports to HESQ Field Support Manager, or delegate. He must possess the H&S skills to work closely with Contractor H&S teams to ensure compliance with Project H&S requirements The key challenge is to develop, coach and mentor contractor HES teams to attain superior HES performance. Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
• Monitor Contractor work processes and verify compliance with Project H&S standards;
• Leads the Contractor HSE Management (CHESM) process for a number of Construction and Marine Contractors. This includes both leading and participation in the programme of Interim Performance Reviews, Audits and Field Inspections;
• Support Contractor in development of their HSE-MS, plans, policies and procedures;
• Inspection and review of Contractor processes for equipment inspections and chemical management in compliance with Project procedures;
• Provide coaching to both client and Contractor Line Management and H&S personnel on Project H&S requirements. • Undertake compliance audits of the Contractor H&S programmes, verify corrective action plans and audit actions closeout
• Participate and promote the Project Behaviour Based Safety (BBS), Incident and Injury Free (IIF) and Hazard Intervention and Reporting (HIRC) programmes;
• Participation in incident investigations (Root Cause analysis), verification of accuracy or incident reports
• Compile safety bulletins and other reports as necessary.
• Promote an Incident and Injury Free culture.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Cert/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a HSE Co-coordinator/Advisor
• Major project or heavy industry sector experience (Construction preference)
• Experience with managing Contractors
