The Company:
A major international oil and gas operator seeks a HES advisor for their team

The Role:
Works closely with the HSE Managers to ensure all HSE risks associated with the program are understood and appropriate systems, procedures, training and resources are in place to manage the risks
Assesses HSE aspects of Operations and associated tenders
Reviews and approves HSE Plans / Bridging Documents
Establishes appropriate procedures to ensure operations are undertaken in accordance with the projects overall HSE Management System.
Ensures all contractors work in a consistent manner with the projects HSE MS and approved Bridging Documents / HSE Plans HSEMS.
Coordinates HSE oversight during operations through consultation with HSE Rep. Provide advice, support and guidance on HSE matters to operations personnel.
Ensures all HSE reporting is of good quality and is issued on time. Review Safety Performances and develop with the contractors programs to ensure continuous improvement
Ensures strict compliance with the development project Safety requirements.
Ensures the adequate training of personnel operating on site.
Investigates all Safety incidents/accidents and issue prompt reports.
Assists in the establishment and maintaining of appropriate emergency response resources in accordance with the projects ERC
Acts as mentor for the HSE personnel
Enhances processes and documentation development to strengthen Managing Safe Work requirements and ensures interfaces between the Client business unit and Major Capital Projects (MCP) are effectively delivered within owners teams and through Contractor Management processes.
Actively supports MOC requirements, Incident Investigation reports, field audits & inspections (Owner and contractor compliance)
The candidate should have a bachelor degree preferably in an HES related field or Engineering. Demonstrated ability to manage a multicultural team is required.

The candidate for this position should have a strong background in HES programs development and implementation to produce leadership behaviors and the IIF culture necessary to achieve and maintain world class HES performance.
Knowledge of various OE Processes including Managing Safe Work (MSW), Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Stewardship and safety is required for this role.
As HES Advisor, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for overseeing the project's HES/OE deliverables and ensuring that effective processes, plans, permits, and resources are in place to support safe installation of the connection cables and hook up of selected Client platforms to the backbone in full compliance with all applicable HES regulations.
The individual will be responsible for consistent implementation of a wide range of OE Processes and providing general HES assistance to the project, e.g. Managing Safe Work, Incident and Injury Free (IIF), partner engagement on OE issues, safety in design (SID), construction safety, HES procedures, risk management, Behavior Based Safety (BBS) performance and leadership, contractor HES management, Root Cause Incident investigation (participation and facilitation), travel safety, providing guidance on policy, process and procedures to ensure compliance with OE tenets and achieve Incident Free Operations, emergency response plans/preparedness, motor vehicle safety, ergonomics, personal protective equipment, Environmental Impact Assessment/Study permitting (EIA license), HES metrics reporting, readiness reviews, handover plans, and other loss prevention programs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
5-10 years Oil & Gas industry Understanding of network and telecommunications will be a bonus.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desired Expertise Onshore, familiar and motivated with drilling activities in various location.
