The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The DS HES Regulatory Advisor is a key member of the BWI HESQ project team, reporting directly to the BWI Technical HSEQ Support Manager (Deputy HSEQ Superintendant). The HES Regulatory Advisor must possess the skills to provide HESQ regulatory and HES audit support to Client, Contractors and their subcontractors. The HES Regulatory Advisor role is to ensure that all aspects of the project on BWI is compliant from a regulatory perspective by testing the HES systems and processes.. A key feature of the role is the ability to routinely deliver high performance results in a demanding work environment, to ensure that an effective coordinated approach is deployed which ensures regulatory requirements are fully understood, appropriate controls are deployed and mitigation strategies implemented. The HES Regulatory Advisor must possess extensive experience and is technically competent (subject matter expert) in the following processes: • ISO standards as they apply to HESQ • HES Audit Team Leader • Report writing • Tracking register database • HESQ policies and procedures Essential Skills include: • Broad technical and HESQ skills in project management. • Major capital project experience with a large multi-disciplined workforce. • Technical expert in occupational safety, health and environmental stewardship; risk assessment; human factors and HESQ management systems. • 10+ years broad-based HES / Construction experience, with prior experience in one or more HESQ related disciplines. • Leadership by example: recognises, develops and enhances the potential of the workforce to achieve flawless project execution. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and persuasive. • Effective coaching: understands and articulates performance expectations and is effective in communicating these to the work force and motivating them to achieve results. • Extensive organizational skill: possesses initiative to independently manage a diverse workload of changing priorities and ability to maintain continuity in times of organisational change. Ability to assess and act on project resource needs. • Strong communication skills: capability to effectively interact with individuals of all levels-both internal and external to the company

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma
Experience: 10 Years in a HES related role. 5 years in a supervisory role
Preferred Skills: •Certified Lead HES Auditor •Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Certification: • HES Management Systems and HES Procedures • HES related diploma. • Registered Safety Professional
