The Role:
An opportunity for a HES Specialist - Human Factors is open based in Perth for a contract position.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

• Position is required for a highly experienced human factors professional with technical qualifications, and knowledge to support execution of the Human Factors Work Plan.
• Support development and Implementation of Human Factors (Human Performance) Work Plan for the Client
• Engage with key stakeholders on Human Factors scope of work and identify opportunities.
• Support development, implementation and review of practical Human Factors tools, training, processes and documentation to ensure timely and effective deployment, management and tracking.
• Promote alignment across the business unit to ensure the consistent, timely and effective deployment of Human Factors initiatives.
• Provide Human Factors services and support to Major Capital Projects (MCPs)
• Deliver Human Factors services, including training, and practical tools to Major Capital Projects within the project. - Provide functional guidance, technical direction and assurance on Human Factors Engineering design compliance throughout design, fabrication, construction and commissioning.
• Develop Human Factors capability in the project - Support development of Human Factors (and Human Performance) technical competency within project and the HF team.
• Research and share Human Factors implementation lessons learned and best practices.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education:
Tertiary Educated – Degree/Masters in Human Factors, Ergonomics or related degree such as Organisational Psychology.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in applying Human Factors in the Oil and Gas industry or other safety critical industries.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred Skills:
Strong Technical skills in practical application of Human Factors, Problem solving, and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills required. Confident and enthusiastic communicator and presenter is essential.

Additional Comments:
Position is for 12 months, located in Perth, working 8 hours per day
