The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The main responsibilities of the HES Supervisor:

Owner side and LNG experience is essential

Responsible for providing Health & Safety guidance, advice and support to construction EPC and contractors in delivery of Early Works site preparations for the LNG plant site.
Shall be responsible for supervising Owners HES Field team on day to day basis.
Providing guidance and daily direction and assignments to HES Team.
Must be able to supervise multiple work fronts in different scopes of work (FSR , IR6, Industrial site, Marine works, Remediation).
Shall be responsible for developing and implementing HES processes/procedures in accordance with BC, Canada & KLNG scope of work.
Must be an effective communicator/ public speaker and have a good time management skills to handle up to 8 -10 direct reports.
Also have the ability to work professionally with EPC contractor and multiple sub-contractors as well as internal Owners Team senior management.
Must be able to effectively influence construction contractors in the HES function and leadership to establish strong teamwork relationships with the project team and EPC to ensure project requirements are implemented.
Will be required to coach/mentor project staff on HES stewardship and provide confirmation that Contractor's work plans and delivery fit within expectations.
Also provides support to (II&R) Injury, Incident Reporting, Emergency Mgt, and CHESM programming.
Completing weekly reports for assigned areas, and participating in site hazard assessments, BBS process.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years’ experience in HES Construction activities as well as be competent in the following activities:

• Confined space standard
• Heavy Equipment
• Blasting Operations
• Motor vehicle safety
• Mobile crane
• Rigging and Lifting practices
• Incident investigation
• Electrical safety NFPA 70 E
• Marine safety
• Training programs
• Behavioral base safety process
• Excavation and Trenching standards
• Night shift work standards
• Environmental practices/standards
• Spill control/response process
