The Company:
Our Oil & Gas Client is in need of an HES Technician in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The Role:
• Works with all employees and contractors to instill a safe and environmentally conscientious work environment, determining the awareness level, discussing policies and procedures, advising on the best means of following those policies and procedures, and coaching to improve behavior as needed.

• Provide working knowledge of the HES Standards and their application to specific task and endeavors.

• Provides HES support to operations for safety related activities including confined space entry, hot work, lockout/tag out, and other safe work permits.

• Provide periodic on-site oversight and supervision to ensure safe work practices and HES policies are utilized.

• Provide oversight for inspections, maintenance, recordkeeping, deployment, and procurement of safety related equipment.

• Support MOC goals pertaining to Global Performance System (GPS). Participate in developing risk assessments and action plans for the field operations. Complete action items associated with GPS that are assigned in SIMS.

• Assists operations in ensuring safety (air, PPE, H2S monitors, ladders, fall protection) and environmental (booming material, spill response trailer, etc.) equipment is available and in proper working order. Ensure inspections and calibrations of equipment are conducted and documented.

• Assists operations personnel in Client and contractor safety meetings, and in conducting contractor safety orientations when onsite. Provides periodic training for MOC and contractor workforce pertaining to HES. Work w/ HES professionals to develop appropriate training material and schedules.

• Assists and provides guidance to operations personnel with the development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s).

• Monitors HES performance within operational area and works with HES professionals and operations staff to develop and/or implement programs or processes to improve HES behavior.

• Participates in, and organizes as needed, Tier I and II HES audits and monitors status of pending and resolved recommendations. Conducts routine behavior based observations and attends tailgate safety meetings to support HES principles. Completes Tier 1 and Tier 2 actions that are assigned to the HES technician.

• Participates in incident investigations related to accidents, near misses, and unplanned discharges. Identifies root cause failures and corrective actions pertaining to incidents. Ensure timely preparation of documentation and implementation of corrective actions. Maintains incident records.

• Assists HES professionals in the proper coordination of shipping and/or disposal of hazardous materials.

• Maintains HES plans and procedures (SPCC, Emergency Response, etc.) by updating documentation and communicating changes.

• Enters new Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) into Client system.

• Perform records management of local HES records.

• Perform and/or coordinate NORM surveys and maintain NORM records.

• Computer Proficiencies: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required
