The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The DS HESQ Marine Manager is a key member of the marine HESQ team reporting directly to the HESQ Execution Manager.

The specific duties include:
• Managing HES marine resources
• Supporting marine contractor with the development of key HES deliverables to support the marine construction operations
• Perform verification audits of contractors HES capability to perform the work
• Develop and implement the Health, Safety and Risk Management programs, processes and procedures to meet Project HES objectives during the marine construction phase of the project.
• Participate and ensure the quality of The Projects H&S risk assessments, Hazard ID and other safety processes. Support the marine team to ensure consistency of process and standards
• Provision of safety advice and guidance to the Company marine team, including Contractors involved in Marine Operations, Diving, and Dredging, Jetty, and Causeway construction.
• Participate in the Safeguard and Chem Alert process, carry out RCA investigations as required
• Assist with marine emergency response program
• Development of an Incident and Injury Free culture within the maire team including the contractor, and sub contractors, sharing of safety best practice and liaison with HSEQ team
• Auditing and monitor contractor performance The Deputy HESQ Marine Manager must possess extensive experience and is technically competent (subject matter expert) in the following processes:
• IMSO standards as they apply to marine HESQ
• Diving operations
• HES Audit
• Incident investigation and RCA
• HES Planning
• Marine HESQ policies and procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Marine background with broad technical and HESQ skills in marine project construction and marine operations.
• Technical expert in occupational safety, health and environmental stewardship; risk assessment; human factors and HESQ management systems.
• Broad-based Marine / HES / Construction experience, with prior experience in one or more HESQ related disciplines.
• Leadership by example: recognises, develops and enhances the potential of the workforce to achieve flawless project execution.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and persuasive.
• Effective coaching: understands and articulates performance expectations and is effective in communicating these to the work force and motivating them to achieve results.
• Extensive organizational skill: possesses initiative to independently manage a diverse workload of changing priorities and ability to maintain continuity in times of organisational change. Ability to assess and act on project resource needs.
