The Role:
•Customs Compliance & Import Operations - working within the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Tax Department. Roll /Responsibility;
Advising and processing Import Clearance Operations using full frontier entry routines and CFSP.
•Operation of various customs duty relief procedures such as Inward Processing Relief, End Use, Temporary Imports, Excise Duty Drawback, Customs Warehouse - withdrawal schedules, Duty Liability Transfers.
•Support preparation and submission of Intra Community Trade Statistics (Intrastat)
•Compliation of Evidence for Vehicle Origin purposes
•Application of Customs Valuation/Assists
•ATA Carnets & Community Transit

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to work on own initiative within project guidelines and to communicate at all levels, both internally within JLR and external agencies/government departments. High level of accuracy. Attention to detail required relating to transactional tasks Analytical capabilities and working knowledge of spreadsheeets and word processing
Must have "Hands On" approach. Experienced in compilation and submission of various duty relief "returns" and customs reporting. Experience of import consignment processing at ports and airports. Experience of valuation rules relating to imported goods and "origin rules" relating to preferential trade.
Educated to degree standard

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Awareness of commodity coding Experience/knowledge gained in an import/export/customs environment would be a distinct advantage.
