The Company:
Our client is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, they are currently building an integrated oil refining and petrochemical operation by way of upgrading their oil refinery and constructing a new petrochemical complex. This joint venture has been in place since August 2005 when the project was established. This is an opportunity to work for and with one of the worlds leading oil companies in one of their major downstream projects.

The Role:
Department Details:
PED is responsible for evaluating existing processes and configure operating plant to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
We ensure various engineering supports are available to assist the complex operations; including troubleshooting, optimization, and identifying opportunities to grow capability.
Responsibilities involve designing equipment, understanding the reactions taking place, installing control systems, and starting, running and upgrading the processes. Environmental protection and health and safety aspects are also significant concerns.

Who we're looking for:
•Process Engineer with experience in refineries, preferably in FCC Plants
•Can review plant design, operations, troubleshooting, control and optimization of chemical & physical advanced material process through systematic methods
•Good knowledge of basic operation of refinery and petrochemical, material & energy balance calculations and using process simulator.
•Can develop standard operation procedure (SOP) for FCC process and having process/operation trainer capability.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•Evaluate and improve on processes in operating plant.
•Maintain reliable and safe operating plant while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
•Develop innovative solutions.
•Improve process capability and production while maintaining and improving quality standards.
•Prepare samples for study.
•Collect, record, and transcribe data.
•Show results in reports.
•Provide suggestions during incident investigations and troubleshooting
•Advise on corrective actions.
•Work with operation related section to develop a cost-effective operation
•Proceed projects are on time
•Financial budgets are followed to execute.
•Review plant design, operation condition and lead troubleshooting.
•Control and optimization of chemical & physical advanced material process through the systematic methods.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable university.
•Experience from refinery and petrochemical industry sector, preferably in FCC Plant
•Excellent English communication skills (verbal and writing), skills for conducting technical studies.
•Process Engineering experience within a FCC plant is required.
•Process Engineering and Hazardous Materials Engineering license or equivalent.
•Basic safety knowledge
